The cultural identity of  our community stands out to be the most preserved among the African cultures. This is exhibited by the way we dress, sing the traditional songs and performing ceremonies marking different stages of an individual’s life.  Guests will have the pleasure to experience the Maasai’s pastoral lifestyle and to witness ceremonies and traditional parties. On request, a guest will experience mock traditional wedding ceremony, donkey transport, dances and more.  The Maasai community are a welcoming and hospitable community with high regard for their culture. Our people are involved in developing our community through communal effort.

The Maasai Village Homestay stands at the foot of the magnificent Ngong hills with great  sceneries.  The active volcano of the Mt. Suswa and Longonot are also neighboring great landmarks.. The Nairobi National park is a great visiting destination that has great wildlife among them the big five animals of Kenya.

Our guest houses have three bedrooms that can all be occupied by visitors. The beds are supplied by clean linen.  Living rooms are fully furnished and warmed up by fireplaces.  On request, our visitors can live in a traditional Maasai hut with another host family some few kilometers from our village. The maximum number of visitors that can be accommodated at a time is six.  There is a communal kitchen with gas cooker and a separate fireplace.  We also have a garden on a drip irrigation with various vegetables.  Tents are also available for bigger groups.

We are a religious community that live on christian and practice cultural valuesThe culture is maintained by routine cultural ceremonies and the delicate culture is taught along as an individual passes on the different cultural stages to manhood or womanhood.
The Maasai are friendly to the environment as its the one that we find grass and water for the cattle..

Respect to all regardless of cultural background is paramount. General hygiene and personal cleanliness is desirable. Alcohol is not encouraged inside the household.
