YOU ARE INVITED
Coming Soon!
The Community Homestays Exhibition and Forum is a free public event that engages with visitors through an exhibition of immersive displays of homestay destinations and talks by homestay hosts and seasoned travellers.
THE FORMAT
The Exhibition will run for 2 weeks and will feature a mix of photographic displays and other multimedia, with visitors to the event able to interact with homestay host representatives. As an event, Community Homestays showcases destinations as well as experiences.
Two forum sessions will bring an audience together, and to present the unique experiences that these homestays have brought to travellers already.
Entrance to the exhibition is FREE. Registration Fees for the two forums shall cover venue and session costs, refreshments, information kits and certificates.
Destinations offered currently include 16 locations in Kenya, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bhutan, Nepal and The Philippines, the number of destinations available expanding continually.
Experiences are offered by homestay hosts, and include ecotourism, volunteer projects, and cultural immersion.
WHO COULD ATTEND
Community Homestays is accessible to the general public, as well as organisations and special interest groups.
There is an increasing interest in travel experiences that are offered by local community hosts. Indeed, individual travellers and organisations also look to having an opportunity to engage with local people, and to contribute to and purchase from those communities directly.
Community Homestays appeals to individual travellers, student programs, study programs, civil and social organisations, and corporate organisations.
